For more than 25 years, the Women's Success Network has provided a forum wherein local Massachusetts and Rhode Island business women can meet, support and educate each other, providing unlimited opportunities for growth and development. It all began back in 1985, when six women met over lunch to share their ups and downs, their successes and near-successes. They were all actively engaged in performing a delicate balancing act-where there aren't enough hours in the day to attend to family commitments, growing careers and personal enrichment. They recognized that the "old boy networks" didn't compare to the support that one woman can give another-even if they could get an invitation to join an all-male networking group.

The women thought that there must be a better way than navigating this path alone, and they decided to schedule regular meetings to check in with one another. They wrote a press release inviting other women to join them, and they were amazed at the results. When they received over 50 immediate responses, they knew they had hit a nerve — the need was there. And, thus, the Women's Success Network was born.
