Scholarships

For more than 20 years, the Women's Success Network has been providing scholarships to women who want to advance or change their careers through education and training. The "Women's Success Network Founders Scholarship Fund" (formerly the "Elizabeth J. Wajer Scholarship"), honors the small group of insightful women who gathered in the spring of 1985 and committed their time and energy to help WSN grow and thrive.

The scholarship is funded through the sale of raffle tickets at our monthly meetings, the donations of WSN members and other fundraising efforts. Each year, through an application process, individuals are asked to demonstrate their needs, define their goals and explain how the money would be used.

Press releases are sent out to all area newspapers in February to announce the application process. A scholarship committee is formed each year to review the applications and vote on the recipients. The scholarships are then awarded at our June dinner meeting.

In conjunction with the "Women's Success Network Founders Scholarship Fund," Dean College and Fisher College also sponsor two specific awards "each" for non-traditional student applicants who plan to attend Dean or Fisher either on a full or part-time basis.  In addition, Middlesex Savings Bank is also donating a specific sum toward the WSN Founders Scholarship.
