Effective Communication; How to Listen and Be Heard in Every Day Conversation - Jody Comins, A Better Way

In this workshop, Jody presents three types of listening skills- empathic listening, macro/micro aggression (verbal and non-verbal cues) and listening for listening. Her style is highly interactive with audience participation and a good sense of humor. Participants will experience verbal and non-verbal cues in an exercise with another participant (or the whole group), learn how to listen and be heard in everyday conversation, and work on communication skills.

You will leave with an understanding of how verbal and non-verbal cues have an impact on your personal and professional relationships. You will also understand how to ask open-ended questions, and be an empathic listener, as well.
