Lake Pearl, Wrentham MA
Compliments have a powerful effect. They can instill confidence in a child, or validate someone's hard work. January 24th celebrates National Compliment Day. Who better to help the Women's Success Network prepart than it's founder, Debby Hoffman Adair, who will be the featured speaker this month!
Debby has a saying that there are four things you can never recover; the stone after you throw it; the word after you say it; the opportunity after you miss it; and time after it's gone. She urges people to make their commitment to themselves and the world. Never waste the time or miss the opportunity to say a kind word. Once you take this message to heart, there will be few, if any, occasions to throw a stone.
"Find Something Nice to Say - The Power of Compliments" is a simple program filled with compelling results. By using the easy-to-use technique of making compliments, positive energy is created and the amazing results will shake up your personal and professional world. Debby presents 5 different types of compliments, 3 rules for complimenting, and one compelling reason to take action.
As past president of the National Speakers Association of New England and an award-winning Toast Master, she is founder of In the Presence of Positive Women, a membership association dedicated to helping women grow, prosper and create their own empowerment. She is the author of "Find Something Nice to Say - The Power of Compliments."
It's a busy month and there are lots of celebrations to prepare for.
Sign up today so you don't miss the cut-off date, registration closes Saturday, December 23rd.
One woman's trash is another woman's treasure!
We are going to have a live auction vs. a raffle and you are going to provide the gifts to be auctioned! Not just any gifts, but something that you want to re-gift. Find an item that you either just received for Christmas and really do not want, or something else you have hidden away that you will definitely never use.
You can't tell a gift by cover!!
Then, you want to wrap the gift and make sure none of it shows in the wrapping. The more beautiful, perhaps, the higher the bid. Or, to make it easier, a plain brown paper bag will do. Keeping in mind that the auction bidding might be based on appearances.
Sold to the highest bidder!!
After dinner and before our speaker, we will have a fast auction with bids starting as low as $1.00.
Not everyone has to bring a gift
Because our time is a little limited, not everyone has to bring a gift. But, whether you do or not, everyone gets to bid on the gifts that they like.
London Broil with garlic mashed potatoes and chef's selection of vegetable medley
Scrod Florentine topped with steamed spinach, with garlic cream and rice pilaf
Pasta Primavera with chef's blend of vegetables in a Pomodoro tomato sauce
